Our Story and Purpose
Our chapter, founded in 1995, serves individuals in the Rideau Valley who value the chance to connect with others at a similar life stage. Whether you have recently retired or are looking for new opportunities to explore your interests, Probus provides a welcoming space to do just that.
Locally, our chapter boasts 155 vibrant and enthusiastic members who share a passion for engaging activities and lively conversations. Members treasure not only the thought-provoking guest speakers at our meetings but also the friendships that form through our memorable outings and social events.
We create regular opportunities for retirees to connect, learn, and engage. Whether you’re a retiree with a background in professional or business fields—or simply someone seeking a friendly, curious community—Probus welcomes you with open arms.
What We Offer
- Monthly Meetings: Join us on the first Wednesday of each month at 9:30 AM for an engaging guest presentation and the chance to meet new, and old, friends.
- Exciting Outings: Between meetings, we organize visits and activities open to members, partners, and guests.
